
Juan Pablo Figueroa, Council Member and Founding Member of the Alianza Peruana de Sommeliers – ALIPS.
Juan Pablo is a graduate of Hospitality and Tourism of the Universidad de San Martin de Porres. He is a sommelier with more than twenty years of experience and has worked in some of Peru’s most celebrated restaurants, such as La Rosa Náutica, Costanera 700, among others. In 2009 he was the National Champion Sommelier, which allowed him to represent the country in the Best Sommelier of the Americas competition. The same year he participated in the Pan-American Sommelier Competition in Buenos Aires, Argentina (Semifinals), and the World’s Best Sommelier Competition ASI 2010 at Hotel W Santiago, Chile (Quarterfinals).
He currently works as General Manager at “Vinos y Destilados – VINDES SAC” and is a Consulting Sommelier for several national companies.
