Soledad Marroquín Muñoz, Founding Member of the Alianza Peruana de Sommeliers – ALIPS.

Soledad is a gastronomic communicator.

With studies in Business Administration and Sociology, she worked on social development projects until 2002 when she entered the world of wine. She studied the specialty of Sommelier and Sensory Analyst the Escuela Española de Cata and the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina.

She served as director of the Instituto del Vino y del Pisco (IDVIP) of the Universidad San Martín de Porres, restructuring the sommelier curriculum and creating the Specialist and Professional Pisco Evaluator, changing the initials of the institute from IDV to IDVIP.

Soledad was the creative and content producer of the only TV programs dedicated to wine: “Entre tintos y blancos (Between Reds and Whites)” (canal N) y “Divino Vino (Divine Wine)” (canal 6) y “Sabores y Placeres del Mundo (Flavors and Pleasures of the World“ (Canal 5). She hosted the radio program “Vinos, Piscos y Bebidas del Mundo (Wines, Piscos, and Beverages of the World” on Stereo 100. She writes about gastronomic subjects, wine, and Pisco in publications such as “Somos“, “Viù“, “Cosas”, “Cosas Hombres”, and “Festín”. She was a columnist and editorial assesor for “Sommelier” magazine.

She has co-authored various books: “Pisco Espíritu del Perú (Pisco Spirit of Peru)” for the 21 economies represented by the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation – APEC, commissioned by Peru’s Ministry of Production. “Armonía de Sabores (Harmony of Flavors)“ about food and wine pairing. The guide “Dos Mujeres, Cientos de Vinos (Two Women, Hundreds of Wines)“ in 2014 and 2016. She was a member of the Comisión Nacional del Pisco, and founding member of APEGA/Mistura. She is a member of the Unión Peruana de Sommeliers UPS y founding member of the Alianza Peruana de Sommeliers.

Soledad is a fan of rosé wines and has created La Ola Rosa (The Pink Wave), a movement promoting rosé wine culture.
